U.S. stock futures remain stagnant, showing little movement

U.S. stock futures displayed a mostly uneventful trend as traders resumed activity after the Easter break, with key economic data set to be released that could potentially impact the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decisions. The Dow futures contract rose slightly by 0.08%, S&P 500 futures remained relatively stable, and Nasdaq 100 futures dropped by 0.13%. The imminent release of the March inflation data is expected to influence investor sentiment, with economists forecasting a rise of 5.2% annually and 0.3% month-on-month in consumer prices. The Fed's interest rate hikes may be influenced by these figures.

Traders will also be scrutinizing the minutes from the central bank's policy meeting held in March. Additionally, there is anticipation surrounding the forthcoming earnings reports of JPMorgan Chase & Co and Citigroup Inc, which will be closely monitored by investors. Oil prices remained stable, while gold futures and EUR/USD both experienced a slight dip.
